Digital Content Editor - Video & Social Media

Grey Dog Media is growing and looking for a full-time Digital Content Editor to add to our team of talented professionals. This position is responsible for creating relevant and engaging digital content to promote awareness and recognition of our client’s brand, products, and services for use on various digital media platforms.

Job Duties

  • Write and develop concepts that effectively tell a story and communicate our client’s message
  • Support the video production process; this includes storyboarding, pulling props, preparing sets for shoots, measuring ingredients for food stories, providing camera assistance, cleaning after shoots, and general studio and prop maintenance
  • Research trends, brainstorm, and look up digital content inspiration ideas to pitch to client
  • Create relevant online and social media content topics to reach target followers and customers
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy
  • Work in a collaborative manner to meet client deadlines and efficiently manage workflow
  • Maintain a positive can-do attitude and support that attitude among other co-workers
  • Attend progress meetings to help brainstorm ideas and report on work progress
  • Remain up-to-date on digital trends and emerging platforms including insights into cultural trends and target audiences
  • Record and track your time within the payroll system for each project you are working on
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or similar field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years similar professional experience
  • Display in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and how each platform can be used in different scenarios
  • Video production knowledge or experience preferred
  • General cooking knowledge and interest
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent copywriting, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Highly motivated with ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and desire to work on a collaborative team with high standards
  • Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills; able to balance multiple priorities and demands simultaneously
  • Maintains a positive attitude, even while working under pressure in an environment where job demands are constantly changing
